Brent Rises Above $91 Amid New Attacks from the US and Iran

Oil prices increased by more than 2% following the latest escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.

Brent futures rose to $91.11 per barrel. The market reacted to new US strikes on Iran, Tehran's retaliatory attacks, and reports of damage to a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.

Additional pressure comes from threats by the Houthis to restrict vessel movement near Saudi Arabia. Brent is less than 10% away from the $100 mark, so further escalation could quickly bring the market closer to that level.

This news relates to the question, "Will Brent futures reach $100 by the end of 2026?"
